Government News - New Solution Provides Tours and Promotes Sustainable Vietnam Tourism

In implementation of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, in May 2023, the Government issued Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP on the main tasks and solutions to accelerate the recovery and promote effective and sustainable tourism development.

Early in 2024, the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 08/CT-TTg on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in the coming period. A series of policies such as granting e-visas to all countries, expanding unilateral visa exemption to 45 days, ... have contributed to creating favorable conditions for the development of Vietnam tourism, with 4.6 million international tourists arriving in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2024. Domestic tourism is also growing strongly.

These are both favorable conditions and requirements, requiring tourism businesses to be creative, improve their management capacity, proactively apply technology and create new tourism products to meet market demand while contributing to promoting Vietnam tourism and attracting more and more international tourists to Vietnam.
