Trang An

The Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh Province is an integrated tourism area, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Many of its sites have previously been designated as especially important national landmarks by the Vietnamese government, including the Tràng An Ecological Tourism Area, Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Bai Dinh Pagoda, and the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. These areas are interconnected by the Hoa Lu special-use forest ecosystem, which consists of limestone mountains, wetlands, and a system of rivers, lakes, and ponds spanning 12,252 hectares.

The Trang An World Heritage Complex features unique natural landscapes, including limestone karsts, ecosystems, forests, vegetation, rice paddies, lakes, ponds, and boat tours along the Ngo Đong River, Tien Stream, Voc River, Sao Khe River, Đen Voi River, and Ben Dang River. The area boasts beautiful caves such as Thien Ha Cave, Thien Thanh Cave, Tien Cave, Tien Ca Cave,Vai Gioi Cave, Thuy Cung Cave, But Cave, Tam Coc Cave, Trang An Cave, and Sinh Dược Cave. It also includes valuable archaeological sites like Moi Cave, Boi Cave, Trong Cave, Mai Oc Cave, Binh Valley, and Hoa Lu Citadel. Furthermore, there are famous historical relics associated with the Đinh, Le, Ly, and Tran dynasties, including the Hoa Lu Palace, King Đinh Temple, King Le Temple, Bich Đong Pagoda, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Vu Lam Palace, Thai Vi Temple, Tran Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, and other attractions like Thung Nham Bird Garden, Thung Nang, Mua Cave, and the Hoa Lu special-use forest.
