Ba Vi is a district located in the midland mountainous region, situated to the northwest of Hanoi. It borders Son Tay town to the east, Hoa Binh Province to the south, Phu Tho Province to the west, and Vinh Phuc Province to the north. Ba Vi is blessed with diverse natural landscapes including mountains, forests, waterfalls, streams, rivers, lakes, and famous scenic spots.

From April to October, Ba Vi becomes an ideal "cooling-off" destination as the summer heat intensifies. From October to November, the wild sunflowers bloom abundantly along the roadsides.
