1. Imperial City of Hue

 


Imperial City of Hue - a space of ancient grandeur and nobility, bearing the profound historical significance of the former imperial capital. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, the Imperial City of Hue features majestic palaces, temples, and shrines built in ancient architectural styles, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of past feudal dynasties.

The Imperial City of Hue is divided into two main areas:

- The Imperial Citadel: Where royal ceremonies and court rituals of the Nguyen dynasty took place, including landmarks like the Noon Gate (Ngọ Môn) and the Thai Hoa Palace.
- The Forbidden Purple City: Reserved exclusively for the king and the royal family, comprising structures such as the Great Forbidden Purple City Gate, the Left and Right Halls, the Can Chanh Palace, the Thai Binh Lau Pavilion, and the Dien Tho Palace.

2. Thien Mu Pagoda

 

Thien Mu Pagoda - the most sacred pagoda in Hue. This pagoda is located on Ha Khe Hill, overlooking the Perfume River, creating a picturesque and poetic scenery around the pagoda, full of tranquility and serenity. Despite more than 400 years of existence, the pagoda still retains its ancient and solemn appearance, worthy of being the foremost ancient temple in the former capital. 3. Ancient Tombs System

 

In Hue, there are 7 royal tombs, resting places of the Nguyen dynasty emperors:

- Tomb of Emperor Tu Đuc - Located in Thượng Ba Village, Thuy Xuan Ward.
- Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang - Located on Cam Ke Mountain, An Bang Hamlet, Huong Tho Commune.
- Tomb of Emperor Khai Đinh - Located on Chau Chu Mountain, Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy District.
- Tomb of Emperor Gia Long - Located in Đai Thien Tho Mountain.
- Tomb of Emperor Duc Đuc - Located in Tay Nhat Hamlet, An Cuu Village, An Cuu Ward.
- Tomb of Emperor Thieu Tri - Located in Cu Chanh Village, Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy District.
- Tomb of Emperor Đong Khanh - Located in Thuong Hai Village, Thuy Xuan Ward.

Each of these tombs features unique architecture and sculptures, exquisitely crafted and steeped in artistic significance, intertwined with many interesting and meaningful stories. Positioned at prestigious locations, over time, these sites have acquired an ancient and venerable appearance, adorned with moss and age-old charm.
 

4. Thuy Tien Lake

 

Thuy Tien Lake is located within an abandoned amusement park in Hue, completed in 2004. However, in recent years, the lake area has become a popular check-in spot in Huế, attracting many young people. One of the impressive features of this area is its mysterious and somewhat eerie atmosphere, combined with its untouched natural beauty. The dragon statue in Thuy Tien Lake is the most sought-after check-in point here.

5. Perfume River - Trang Tien Bridge
